You might have heard the story of JACINTO & LIRIO already.

JACINTO & LIRIO (meaning Hyacinth and Lily) is a brand by EcoIngenuity Inc. that showcases the Filipino innovation of plant leather, like the water hyacinth, into fashionable and functional statement bags and accessories through sustainable means. Our social enterprise aims to raise the competitiveness of indigenous materials and the communities that produce them using global design brands.  Part of the story focuses on how Jacinto&Lirio is inspired by the people we work with in crafting these beautiful and fashionable products. Thus, the launch of our new campaign #liveastoryworthtelling.

In the heart of it all is our desire to raise $8,000 by May 9, 2012 to increase the production capacity of our partner communities starting with the Fernandina Water Hyacinth Group in San Fernando, Pampanga. We are doing it through crowdfunding where you also get a product perk from one of our lines for every contribution you make. By contributing, you get our statement plant leather journals and perhaps a one-of-a-kind Jacinto&Lirio bag when you donate more than $200! Aside from the product perk, 10% of your contribution will go directly to the community production development of the Fernandina Water Hyacinth Group.

ThanksReaching out to you is by far one of the best decisions we made for this campaign to be successful! I hope you can help us spread the word in your website/blog, and other social media accounts like Facebook and Twitter. It would definitely make a difference.
