Kalinga eco village in Bauan

On November 25 of last year, twenty (20) homes were awarded to twnety (20) deserving families on the same site, who served 1000 hours each to help in the building of homes on the said project site.  These families were selected and screened by a committee composed of GK and Keppel personnel, based on the criteria set forth by the Gawad Kalinga Foundation.

Kalinga eco village in Bauan

BAUAN, Batangas, Mar. 26 (PIA) — Twenty more families received their certificates of occupancy at the Keppel-Gawad Kalinga (GK) Eco Village in a recent handover ceremony of the project’s Phase 2 at Barangay Inicbulan in this town.

Keppel-GK eco village is a 60-home housing project for the underprivileged jointly undertaken by Keppel-Gawad Kalinga and the municipal government of Bauan.

The first 20 houses under Phase 1 were distributed in November last year while the 3rd and final phases comprising of 20 more homes are expected to be completed in the first half of 2012.

Employees from Keppel-Batangas Shipyard and volunteers have been helping out with the construction of the estate. (PIO-Bauan/CPG, PIA-Calabarzon)
