Vision, Mission & Goals
Vision Statement
APFTI is dedicated to the proposition that poverty in all its forms could be totally eradicated from the face of the earth!

Towards this end, we envision responsible and viable community enterprises and a community of responsible Filipino entrepreneurs contributing to poverty alleviation through Fair Trade.
Mission Statement
A leading provider and facilitator of innovative programs and strategies in building a community of responsible and viable Filipino enterprises and entrepreneurs.

Goals
To alleviate poverty through fair trade
To enhance the sustainability of fair trade enterprises through product development assistance, market assistance, and business development assistance
To promote fair trade in the Philippines through advocacy in the government, consumer and corporate sectors

Core Values
APFTI’s core values are captured by the mnemonic P-RAISE. This could mean raising profits, raising people (uplifting their lives) and praising the Lord.

P-RAISE stands for:
People-centred
Respect (to the environment, to the people, to the culture)
Accountability and transparency
Integrity
Service with Love
Equality

Gender Policy
APFTI believes that gender fairness is good for business. We therefore adhere closely to the Gender Equity fair trade standard.
In the elaboration of APFTI’s mission, two statements deal with gender:
To actively work for the mainstreaming of gender in APFTI’s organisation, culture, programs and projects; and
To strengthen APFTI as an effective, efficient, and gender-fair machinery in the face of the growing threats to rural communities, increasing pace and scale of unsustainable development, expanded areas of work, and the need to attain greater self-reliance.
